Service in the World

Jesus instructed His disciples to serve as they have been served (John 13:14). As the Lord God has served us through the work of Jesus Christ, we now have been given opportunities to respond through service to our neighbor. The possibilities of what this looks like can be endless! What gifts has God given you to use to serve your neighbor?

Prayer Chain - For those who love coming to God in confidential prayer for those in thankfulness and need.

Quilters - For those who love to create with fabric and thread at church or at home. We are blessed with a dedicated quilting room for your use. The Lord has blessed our quilters with the ability to send hundreds of beautiful quilts around the world through Lutheran World Relief.

Operation Christmas Child - Pack a shoe box of care for a child in need.

Luncheon Servers - For those who enjoy serving together to prepare meals for large gatherings. Often this service is carried out when a meal is provided following a funeral service, but other occasions are a possibility.

Love & Care - For those who enjoy a good visit. Opportunities to visit shut-in members, people recently home from the hospital, families with new babies, and the like. Bring a meal or a snack to share.

Drivers - For those who do not mind giving someone a lift to the grocery store or an appointment.

Helping Hands - For those who do not mind doing some light cleaning, gardening, or repair work.

If you have an interest in serving in any such capacity or have any ideas for new ways to share God's love in Christ, please let us know!

We are always in need of extra hands around the church. Ushers, greeters, Scripture readers, altar guild members, media operators, decorating, library, gardens, and other options are available for you to assist us with. We would love to have you on board!
