Handyperson or helper – Are you handy with tools? If a member needs assistance or perhaps just another pair of hands, a fix-it task, a seasonal or occasional job can appear huge to them.
Light housekeeping –Occasional help with some household tasks.
Love-N-Care – A few ladies (could be men, too) who take turns visiting and taking a meal to anyone returning home from the hospital. The meal can be as simple as bread, soup and a dessert – homemade or purchased.
Prayer chain – A group of people who are committed to praying for members who are grateful for blessings received or in need.
Respite care for family caregivers – Help provide a relaxing break for members who otherwise must be full-time caregivers. Stand in for them while they get away for a short time.
Rides to the doctor, store or church – Provide a ride for someone who needs to go shopping, to the doctor, to church or another location and who can’t at the time drive there themselves.
Visits – Visit our members in the hospitals, nursing homes and to shut-ins.
World Relief Quilts – Help make quilts – sorting, cutting, sewing, etc., at home or at church – for Lutheran World Relief. Quilters meet on Tuesdays year round.
